#throwback: In August, three of our International Business and Economic Diplomacy students had the opportunity to attend the International Summer School at @turibauniversity in Latvia 🇱🇻 🤓Here is what Lorenz, Valerie and Vanessa have to say about the unique opportunity 💬:Under the motto “Business + Communication = New Normal”, Turība University arranged a perfect mix of lectures, practical workshops and study visits. The emphasis was on getting to know the Baltic states’ business environment, developing business ideas as well as discussing how firms can adapt their operations to the “new normal” in a post-pandemic environment 💡.Besides the academic programme, no efforts were spared to bring us closer to the Latvian lifestyle, its people, culture, food, and traditions 🏖️🏞️🏰. Our personal highlight of the summer school was the international evening the university organised - one of the lecturers invited us to a garden party at her place and served us typical Latvian food she spent cooking all day 🍽️ 🤤.In total, 10 students participated in the summer school on-site, and a colourful mix of countries was represented 🌍: Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Ukraine. The programme turned out to be a wonderful opportunity to gain new friends from all over Europe and concrete plans for mutual visits have already been made 🤗.What an amazing experience – we were lucky that we had the opportunity to participate in such a unique summer programme 💯#imckrems #fhkrems #proudtobestudent #kremsgenial #summerschool #turibauniversity

“Sziasztok! 👋 My name is Tünde Lili Kertész (@kertesz_lilii) and I'm studying Tourism and Leisure Management. 👩‍💻 I'm from Hungary but my heart has always belonged to the whole world, I've always been a globetrotter. 🌍

Probably, that's the reason why I chose to study at @fhkrems. When I was very little, I wanted to be a doctor or an architect but as I grew up, I realized the tourism industry would be the perfect fit for me, and I deeply believe that the IMC can bring me closer to my dream of being a general manager of a hotel before turning 30. 🤓

I'm pretty new to the IMC as I'm only in my 2nd semester. Since I started my studies here, I've made many awesome friendships and unforgettable memories even though our whole 1st year was held online except those 3 amazing days we could spend on campus. 🤩 I'm really proud to be a part of such an amazing group of people. We’ve been through ups and downs during this year since it wasn’t always easy to have only online lectures/exams and to only get to know our mates through the computer, however, we did it and never gave up on each other. 💪 As many say, teamwork makes the dream work, and that is exactly what happened to us. 🙌📈

Fortunately, our 3rd semester is going to be mostly on campus so I'm really looking forward to it. And after that, the exciting 4th semester is coming when we have to do an internship. 🤗 I would like to spend my PTS in Dubai 🇦🇪 since it is one of the busiest places to be when you want to work in the tourism industry. ✈️🗺

Hey everyone! 👋☺️ I'm Yvette (@schandlyvette) from Hungary with Austrian origins and I'm studying Business Administration (Unternehmensführung) at @fhkrems. Currently, I'm in the 4th semester. 🤓
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, where should I start my story? My father is Austrian and raised in the beautiful wood quarter in Lower Austria 🌲 (Waldviertel, Niederösterreich). Maybe that’s why my heart brought me here! 💓 I was always amazed by this region and decided to move here for my studies. 📚 Now, I can state that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. Other reasons why I`m currently right here are the praxis-oriented courses that the IMC can offer and of course the international atmosphere. As an international student, I could take part in various leisure programmes organised by the International Welcome Center. 🙈🤩

In my first semester, I lived in Krems which I really loved! The historical streets, the river Danube and the small local stores in the Altstadt are breathtaking! 😍 Then, I went home to Hungary because of the lockdowns and after almost a year came back to Austria again! I'm currently away on my PTS, live in Zwettl and work in sales & transport logistics at Waldland 🖥️📠🖨️. In my free time, I'm trying to explore this beautiful country! 🏞️🌄🌅

All in all, I can say that Austria is a country where I could imagine my future! I've gained numerous experiences since I started my studies at the IMC which I'll never forget. 😊

Griaß eich & hi everyone! 👋 I'm Simon (@simon_gumpinger_) and I've just graduated with a bachelor's degree in Export-oriented Management. 🥳 I went to @htl_st.poelten in high school and as this is sort of a technical education I wanted to make a move towards business studies for my undergraduate degree. 👔📚 The combination of business and languages, English as a teaching language and the possibility to go on an exchange semester were some of the determining factors in favour of IMC Krems.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I ended up spending my exchange semester in fall 2019 at @weberstate University, USA, and it's fair to say that it was an absolute blast. 🇺🇸👏 I'm so thankful for this opportunity and the experiences I made there. My PTS started at @lufthansaaviationtraining. ✈️ Then COVID-19 hit and aviation wasn't such a promising industry any longer. So I switched to @palfingerag. 🚚⚙️

There were many great moments along the way but if I had to pick one thing as a highlight it would probably be the benefits of distance learning. 👨‍💻🔝 It allowed me to work in Salzburg while studying a full-time program.

Another important life lesson I learnt during those 3 years at IMC Krems is "Speak up!". 🗣 I'd like to encourage every student or graduate from our UAS to do so. If you don't ask, the answer will always be no… ☝️

Among other things, I'm pretty proud of the way I tackled my studies in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. 👍 This might be hard to understand and a thorough explanation would take too long here, but I know what it meant to combine full-time studies, work and training to compete on a national level in track and field. 👀😅💪

Hi everyone! 👋 My name is Teresa (@teresa_th_) 😊, coming all the way from India. 🇮🇳 I'm studying for a master's degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and soon I'll be done with it. 👩‍🎓 I did my bachelor degree at @fhkrems too. 🥳

Due to the COVID-19 situation, I decided to do my ARTS in Austria and so I'm now in VetMed researching Acute Myeloid Leukemia and how different drugs can be put together to treat this disease. 🧬🔬

In my bachelor, I was able to go to the UK and do my internship there which I looooooved! ♥️ It was a great experience. I learnt a lot of different techniques and also being able to do an internship abroad has opened up quite some windows when it comes to job applications. 😉

I chose the IMC because I knew many graduates who spoke only good stuff about the university and also the interesting study curriculum made my decision easier. ✔

What I like the most about the IMC is the internationality and friendly environment - we're one big family. 😊 When it comes to the courses, we've had so many lab sessions and many speakers from the industry. The study quality is the best at the IMC. You'll be well prepared to enter the pharmaceutical world, whether industry or research. 🤗

In my free time, I love spending time with my friends, seeing different places and cultures. 🌏 I also love reading and watching movies and listening to songs. 😊
